New Raptor System

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

 

The Norris School District is implementing a new visitor management system to strengthen our campus safety programs for students, families, faculty, and community.  The Raptor Visitor Management system will better allow us to screen visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools and enhance the safe environment we have created for our students and staff.  Beginning on the first day of school, anyone who is not a staff member on the campus will be required to check-in at the office and obtain a visitor badge after school starts at 8:14 a.m. The badge will show a name, picture and the location that visitors are going.  


We understand that many of you may want to walk your child to their classroom, especially the first several days of school.  We encourage you to do so. As part of our program, if you arrive after the starting bell at 8:14 a.m., or know you are going to be staying on campus after the starting bell rings, we will ask you to go through the office to get appropriately signed-in through Raptor using your picture ID (Driver’s License).  If you are on campus before the 8:14 a.m. bell rings, we will ask you to head back to the office to get checked-in. Our goal is to ensure the safety of your child and accurately account for all visitors on campus in case of an emergency.
