Hello! My name is Diane Sausedo and I am the Learning Center Reading teacher here at Veterans Elementary School.   Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, I graduated from CSUB with a Bachelor’s Degree, a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.   I earned a Certificate in Reading from the University of Irvine.  I am married and have one adult daughter.  

My teaching career started at Norris Elementary School in 1988, when there was just one elementary school in our district!   I moved to Olive Drive Elementary School its opening year, and moved to Veterans Elementary School when it opened in 2007.  I have enjoyed teaching 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade,  in addition to my current, favorite role! This is my 38th year of teaching.

I absolutely love working with children and helping them learn and grow!  My motto is, "Your Best Will Do Just Fine!"  Understanding that students have varying gifts, strengths, and struggles, and everyone's best looks different, it is my goal to meet each student right where they are academically, and help them achieve their best!
