Hello parents and students! My name is Abby Baker-Lizaola. I General Music and Choirs at various sites across the Norris School District. I am married with two amazing daughters who love music just as much as I do. I graduated from CSU Bakersfield with a degree in Music Education hold a Single Subject Credential and Masters in Education from National University. In addition to my post-graduate studies, I am also Kodaly Level 1 certified. Zoltán Kodály believed that music education was deserved by all. He formed his own comprehensive approach to teaching music. The Kodály method uses a child-developmental approach to sequencing while introducing skills according to the capabilities of the child. The method utilizes rhythm syllables, solfege, and lots of fun dances and games. Your child will also be exposed to a number of musical genres, instruments, languages, and more in Music class this year.  I am so looking forward to teaching your children and cannot wait to share the JOY of music with them!
